Incense smoke rises from a burning cauldron. This image was taken at the Boudhanath stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Friendly faces of Nepal
We absolutely love the people of Nepal! They were so friendly and welcoming. The children were very eager to pose for a photo. The boy with the red cap was hesitant at first, but then his mother told him to say “Namaste” to us and this was the action that followed. On our way to Kathmandu I reminded the tour guide that I still need my rice worker photo. He saw this elderly woman next to the road and he asked her if she had an issue taking a photo. She replied with a friendly “No”. The tour guide asked her if she could smile and I even got a wave! I love her shirt!
Food on the table
One of my goals in Nepal was to take a few photos of people working on the rice plantations. Even the young people get involved in this family business.
