I can hardly believe that two months have passed since I launched my first eBook and digiMagazine: Click here for more information.
Of course, I did not know what the response would be, but I can confirm that I now (whether I like it or not!) find myself in the online publishing arena.
My latest digiMagazine edition has the corporate business icon and Afrikaner gentlemen, Brand Pretorius, on the cover: Click here for more information.
Another wonderful highlight my family’s and my five-and-a-half-week vacation in South Africa (with a little business in between), where we drove more than 5000 km. During this trip we saw new parts of our country and were grateful to show it to our children – places where we have last been 15 years ago, and places we have never been before. I remember our very first and special evening in Philippolis, of all places! See the picture above.
We also saw Black Monday in action on the way to Free State from Cape Town: surely a day that symbolised tragedy, hope and togetherness as it has not been seen for a long time.
But let me encourage you with an important and hopefully an inspiring thought:
Many innovations and breakthroughs are born out of crisis or for the sake of survival. There is a reason why the Scandinavian countries are so dynamic: hundreds of years ago they had to generate clever solutions, or simply disappear.
The innovation and opportunities in South Africa have always been tangible for us as a family: innovation born of a sickening political and racist climate.
But it remains your choice: What type of glasses will you put on and in which light will you see the future?
Remember … no pain, no gain!
