Social media gave a green card for expressing one’s opinion. Some people reckon it is always necessary to give an opinion. The manner in which they express it is often justified as being freedom of speech.

I regularly want to climb onto the Twitter soap box seeing as I enjoy a live debate. However, I refrain from doing so and there’s also a fine line. A piece of responsibility. A business principle of ethics.

The synonyms are integrity, respect and esteem. Am I in my enterprise as entrepreneur or in my work environment so focused on survival that I forget who else is in the “war” with me? Do I handle conflict just as carefully as a presentation for a potential client?

All that I know is that if you want to live in peace, you must learn to respect other people. The reason why we need to respect other people is not because we want to prevent a scenario where one is reported at some institution or commission. No, we respect other people because they have just as much value as ourselves.
