The civil rights organisation AfriForum today delivered a presentation at the headquarters of the United Nation\u2019s (UN) Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD), in Geneva, Switzerland. This was accompanied by a detailed report on the South African government\u2019s 116+ pieces of racial legislation that AfriForum submitted to CERD as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2023 it is the South African government\u2019s turn to have its record regarding discrimination reviewed by CERD at its 111th session. Both AfriForum\u2019s report and in-person presentation will be considered and utilised by CERD in the process of the committee reviewing South Africa\u2019s record. Ernst van Zyl, AfriForum\u2019s Head of Public Relations delivered the presentation before CERD today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
