Some days you wake up and through the disappearing vestiges of sleep you are already mumbling: \u201cLord, help\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other days you feel geared to take on whatever the day may bring, and you don\u2019t expect any life shattering moments, so the desperate reach for His cloak becomes a rather sedate \u201cMorning, Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t divide your life into things you can do by yourself
and things that require My help.
Train your mind to seek My help continually,
even when you feel competent to handle something by yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When will I learn that He will never tire of my daily grappling for His hand?
When will I learn that He does not think any less of me when the light irritations of this world make me unravel?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just because I can do it myself, does not mean it\u2019s the best way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I want to explore the most beautiful places in Wales, and my best friend tells me about the time that she came upon this stunning shell-filled beach, or the quaint little eatery she found just around the corner from the book store where she discovered books in Afrikaans, or the mountain trail she ended up on when visiting (and getting lost on) Snowdonia, then I just want to take her with me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Best Friend does not merely want to be my phone-a-friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He wants to share every moment of every day with me, laughing or crying \u2013 whatever it may be.
When I get anxious, He wants to rest His hand on my head and say: \u201cBreathe.\u201d
When I forget the smell of flowers, He wants to make me pause.
As big decisions get closer and closer, He wants me to get on His back so that I can see beyond the crevice of BEFORE and AFTER.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to stop waiting until the you-know-what hits the fan before I run to Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t be pulled in different directions
or worried about a thing.
Be saturated in prayer throughout each day,
offering your faith-filled requests before God
with overflowing gratitude.
Tell Him every detail of your life\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This has now become my daily mantra, with fewer words for easier recollection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are God
I am not.
Thank you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
