An innocent little lie can sometimes lead to big trouble. That’s what the car mechanic Ben must learn in the Afrikaans romantic comedy Sy klink soos lente. Ben meets Linda in a bar, but immediately thinks that she is out of his league when he learns that she’s an auditor while he just works on cars. To impress her, he lies about being in a band, and then he must quickly set to work to make this story materialise before she sees through his lie. Things quickly get even more complicated though when Ben learns who Linda’s father is: No-one other than his boss at the workshop where he works.

Amalia Uys and Stiaan Smith are the romantic leads in Sy klink soos lente, and the supporting cast includes well-known actors like Bennie Fourie, Bouwer Bosch, Pietie Beyers, Wilson Dunster and Elize Cawood.
