It is challenging to adapt to a new country. Everything is different, and to find your favourite South African products can be quite an adventure. Luckily Worldwide is here to help. Worldwide’s World Guide is unique. Here you can find a gathering of South African businesses from all around the world creating a network of South Africans abroad. This week’s business in the Spotlight is FynBosch Design in the Netherlands.

“FynBosch Design is inspired by nature, influenced by art and design, driven by balance, motivated in simplicity and sharing the tranquillity of organic living. This is what moves me to create,” says Anneke Bosch, owner of FynBosch Design.

Growing up in the South African nature, colour and texture were constantly part of Anneke’s life. Her childhood environment gave her the appreciation for the simple things that surround us every day.

The name FynBosch is inspired by the delicate South African flora of fynbos that grows locally in South Africa, in combination with her surname – thus staying true to herself and the roots where her greatest inspiration comes from.

Now situated in the Netherlands, Anneke collects wild flora locally or while traveling to create affordable organic art pieces, bringing nature back into our homes. There is a fine balance in nature that she tries to reflect in each individual piece, using only natural materials and fibres like mohair, wool, cotton, linen, bamboo and silk. The flora itself is also kept natural to reflect the fragility of life, reminding us to focus on the raw beauty that surrounds us daily.

Every piece is influenced by nature’s abundance and lovingly created with exquisite attention to detail and patience.
