This week, the spotlight is on a company in the food industry. True Prue offers cooking classes in England.
Prue Leith is a South African restaurateur, chef, caterer, television presenter/broadcaster, journalist, food writer and novelist living in London.
Apart from authoring 14 cookbooks, Leith has also penned seven novels, all of which revolve around food, of course.
When she is not writing a novel or another cookbook or working for charities, Prue might be jet-setting about the world for Orient Express Hotels hotels; she’s on the Board, which makes her a Director of the Mount Nelson in Cape Town and a clutch of top game camps in Botswana, plus forty-odd famous hotels and luxury trains from Peru to the Far East. She might also be filming for a new series of The Great British Bake Off, My Kitchen Rules or The Great British Menu. Prue is also Chancellor of the Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.
Prue is immensely proud of the Prue Leith Culinary Institute, which she says is the right model for a school. The students learn while working in real restaurants, and the Institute instils a love of great food alongside knowledge of technical excellence.
You can now find Prue’s cookbooks, novels and cookware on her website.
True Prue is listed for free on Worldwide’s World Guide. This guide enables people to support South African businesses abroad that can provide a product or service in Afrikaans.
