Worldwide’s World Guide created a successful network to bring South Africans abroad in touch with each other so that you can support South African-owned businesses in their area. Every week, Worldwide selects one business from the World Guide to appear in the Spotlight. This week’s business in the spotlight is Vetkop.

Vetkop is a brand designed and based in Ireland. It is the brainchild of Gideon Hill, a South African designer who has been living in Ireland since 2016. Vetkop is inspired by South African streetwear culture and is all about individuality. Designs are always changing, so if you buy a product, you can be safe in the knowledge that you will be one of only a few with that particular design.

[noun] [fathead]

South African slang for someone with a “lekker” (nice) huge, round, fat head. My brand celebrates everyone who has a “vet kop” and is proud of it. Vetkop is not just a name. It is a statement!
