Saffa Maso started out as an online shop with homemade biltong. It later expanded to a small bistro, beginning a new chapter in its success story.

The bistro describes itself as a “home away from home” – a place not only for South Africans, but also for other African communities, Czechs and expats from other countries.

The venue offers seating for around 25 people. In addition to good food and drinks, there is live sports on TV – not only rugby, but also football or cricket.

Culinarily, the bistro aims to offer an alternative to typical pub food and burgers.

Businesses such as Saffa Maso show how our people take their culture, skills and entrepreneurial spirit with them wherever they settle.
